Problem Power - Personalized Selections

Many Connect Care conveniences depend upon a problem list. But entering problems can be daunting when searches beget long lists of possible matches.

A quick way to simplify problem-entry is to build a short-list of frequently encountered conditions. This "personalized" problem preference list can subsequently speed up problem management.

  1. Start by opening the Problem List activity in any chart opened in Hyperspace.

  2. Click on the Add (+) button to "Search for a new problem".

  3. When the problem search pop-up opens, enter a search word fitting the health problem you seek. You may need to select the "Database Lookup" tab to see possible matches.

  4. Find the term that you intend to re-use multiple times (a commonly encountered health condition), select it, then right-click to reveal a pop-up menu offering to add the term to a problem preference list in either a "Common Dx" or a "Routine Dx" section. Make an appropriate selection.

  5. A new pop-up will seek a "Section" to add the term to. Select from the available choices, or optionally add a new Section label (be careful to not add unhelpful duplicates).

  6. Note how this adds the commonly used term to a well-organized list of personal favourites that can be Browsed or Listed.

Problem item personalization can be used to ensure that acronyms or abbreviations for specific problems will always pull up the correct entry.
