Problem Power - Prioritization

Not all problems are equal. A "principal" problem may reflect a patient's reason for presentation and be kept front-of-mind during a hospitalization. Other problems may be of relatively high, medium or low priority.

Connect Care problem lists support prioritization.

Only one problem can be marked as principal (arrow above). All problems can be assigned a high, medium or low priority (box above). This affects how they appear in problem displays and in documentation (notes). The priorities can be edited at any time by clicking on a priority label and editing a pop-up list, or by using the up/down symbols to the left of a priority.

Priorities are shared by all chart users and can be edited by all prescribers, reflecting the collective sense of the group.
