The Problem Power tip series describes ways by which the problem list layout can be changed, what icons mean and how actions can be taken within the list. Happily, most of these functions can be accessed via a right-click pop-up menu. Experienced users right-click to save time.
Position the cursor/pointer over an item in a problem list, then right-click to activate a pop-up menu:
The first group of menu items facilitates quick problem management by:
- Resolving a problem and/or adding to the medical history
- Permanently deleting a problem
- Finding problem-related vitals, labs and meds in a relevant synopsis view
The second group facilitates personalizations and access to reference information by:
- Adding a problem to a list of personal favourites
- Looking up clinical guidance about the health condition
- Exploring medical concepts to see if a more precise term may be available
Other items enable quick adjustments to the layout, sorting, columns and filters applied to the problem list (without having to use the wrench for personalization).
An abbreviated action list is available when hovering over a problem item in a problem list and selecting the dual-gears icon.
The resulting pop-up menu includes the above functions, minus those that control problem list layout.
